Student Success Story
Diane Wojdag, Undergraduate
Northeastern University OnLine
More than 20 years after she began her undergraduate degree at Northeastern University, Diane Wojdag has returned to complete it online. A mother of three and grandmother of five, Diane must fit her studies around a busy job as a project director for an international software firm that keeps her on the road almost every week.
Not surprisingly, Diane has little time to devote to the administrative details that are part of student life. She credits her coach, Meaghan Joyce, with helping her handle them and facilitating her transfer to Northeastern OnLine division.
"I was going to get my degree somewhere else," Diane says. "But they were more focused on having me sign on the dotted line than on what I needed to accomplish. I could not get a straight answer from the financial or academic advisors.
"Meaghan is what sold me on Northeastern. I spoke to her constantly. She helped me weed through the process to get enrolled and have my credits transferred. She put me in touch with Neff Casaburri, the Northeastern advisor who went out of his way to answer all my questions and helped me with course selections. It was great."
Now Meaghan is helping her tackle the financial aid process. "Honestly, I've been overwhelmed, Diane says. But it's my next step. I know that Meaghan will help me; she has already sent me some of the information I need."
With everything on track, Diane expects to receive her Associate's degree in MIS in June 2007.
