RightTrack Boosts Student Success
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, March 12, 2007 — InsideTrack announced today that it has launched RightTrack, a personalized, interactive tool designed for use by college students working with Success Coaches to promote student engagement, motivation, accountability and achievement.
RightTrack provides students with a Web-based platform to define educational and career goals, identify obstacles to meeting these goals, recognize personal achievements and create strategies to increase effectiveness. Designed for students to use on their own and in collaboration with their Success Coach, RightTrack helps students to manage their commitments and responsibilities and evaluate on a regular basis their progress towards obtaining their degree.
RightTrack was developed for undergraduate and graduate-level students of all ages, including traditional-age students and working adult students. It is organized around seven focus areas that InsideTrack has identified as critical to student success: managing commitments, finances, academics, commitment to graduation, effectiveness, school-community engagement and health and support.
"Using RightTrack, students can map out their educational and career goals and the steps they must take to achieve them," says Alan Tripp, InsideTrack's founder and CEO. "By connecting students' ongoing activities with broader objectives and giving them a way to measure their performance and progress, RightTrack provides a powerful tool to boost student success."
Working with their coaches, students create a list of goals on RightTrack that can include everything from getting an 'A' in a class and researching career opportunities to managing the financial aid process, finding good childcare, or applying to graduate school. Students can then organize their time and identify high priority activities using RightTrack's Calendar and Action Plan. RightTrack will even send students reminders about these activities via their computers or cell phones.
Through a variety of colorful visual elements such as graphs and charts, students learn to make connections between their day-to-day activities and the short- and long-term goals they wish to accomplish. RightTrack also links students to important on- and off-campus resources such as tutoring centers and provides a direct way for students and coaches to communicate during and between coaching sessions.
